Dr. Andreas M Papas is Adjunct Professor of the College of Medicine, East Tennessee State University and CEO and member of the Board of Directors of Antares Health Products, Inc. A Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Papas is a graduate of the University of Illinois and author of The Vitamin E Factor paperback and editor of the scientific book Antioxidant Status, Diet, Nutrition and Health. Dr Papas developed product concepts and managed formulation, clinical evaluation supported by the National Institutes of Health and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, stability and safety testing, pilot, and commercial production.

Dr. Claudia Cusan was born nearby Venice (Italy), and completed her master's and doctoral degrees in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of Trieste (Italy). After the PhD, she moved to the Netherlands, where she worked in the pharmaceutical business unit of Royal DSM, first as R&D scientist and then as project manager. Her research focused on the development of new chemo-enzymatic strategies for the synthesis of generics APIs, and the preparation of new biomaterials for medical devices. Then she registered as European Toxicologist and became Global Corporate Toxicologist at Royal DSM, with global responsabilities for the company strategy in the area of toxicology and product safety. In 2017 she returned to Italy, where she founded S&C BEST Srl, a consultancy compay specialized in toxicology, supporting firms active in different sector as: pharmaceutical products, cosmetic formulations, medical devices, food contact materials, polymers. In 2023 S&C BEST Srl earned the membership of the Corporate Program at Eurotox. Dr. Claudia Cusan is member of Italian Association Business Operators in Food Contact Material (AIBO), and member of External Committee of the master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at University of Trieste.

Rassa Pegahi holds a Ph.D. in Molecular and cell Biology and brings extensive of hands-on experience in oncology from a hospital environment before joining the pharmaceutical industry. Currently, Dr. Pegahi is pursuing her career in the pharmaceutical industry as a specialist in medical affairs & clinical trials.

Dr. Eugene Zadorin is a highly accomplished expert with over 20 years of experience addressing toxicological challenges through innovative research and applied solutions. He holds a PhD and has devoted his career to advancing biotechnological approaches for evaluating and mitigating the toxicological risks of pharmaceuticals, industrial compounds, and environmental agents. His work bridges pharmacology and toxicology, with a focus on drug safety, biomarker development, and the creation of advanced biotechnological platforms for toxicity testing. His research has contributed significantly to the understanding of molecular mechanisms underlying adverse drug reactions and environmental exposures. As a leader in his field, he has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and has presented his findings at major international conferences. He serves as an advisor to regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders, helping shape strategies for safer drug development and sustainable biotechnological practices. Currently, he is the Director of a cutting-edge research laboratory, where he leads a multidisciplinary team in tackling toxicological problems through biotechnological innovation. He is also committed to mentoring young scientists and fostering global collaborations to advance health and safety in the pharmacological and biotechnological sciences.

Dr. Suzanne Fitzpatrick is the Senior Advisor for Toxicology at the US Food and Drug Administration Foods Program. She is a board-certified toxicologist in the US and in Europe. Dr. Fitzpatrick chairs the FDA’s Alternative Methods Work Group thatis currently focusing on in vitroMicrophysiologicalSystems.Dr. Fitzpatrick helped develop the FDA DARPA NCATS program on Organs on a Chip and continues to work and give presentations on this evolving area. .Dr. Fitzpatrick co-chairs with EFSA the International Working Group on New Approach Methods for Food Safety under the International Liaison Group on Methods for Risk Assessment in Food, a coalition of food safety regulatory from over 29 countries and organizations.. She is on the International Regulatory Board for the EU APSIS (Risk Hunter, Precision Toc, Ontox) Research Collaboration for developing new non- animal methods. She is the FDA representative to PARC- The European Collaboration for Chemical Risk Assessment. She is on the Board of Directors for the International MPS Society. Dr. Fitzpatrick is the FDA lead and co-chair for ICCVAM and for Tox 21. She received her BA from the University of California at San Diego and her PhD from Georgetown University.

A Szczecin University of Technology graduate, she completed her Master's degree in chemical and process engineering. Actually she has worked with the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin, Poland. She earned a Ph.D. in agricultural sciences in food technology and human nutrition, specializing in toxicology, in 2004, and an habilitation in 2013. Since 2020, she has been the Director of the Department of Toxicology, Dairy Technology, and Food Storage. Her research focuses on food safety, toxicology, and environmental ecotoxicology, using advanced chromatography techniques. She is a prolific author and reviewer in scientific journals and conferences and is a coauthor of projects for business entities. - Testing the presence of chemical contaminants (heavy metals, pesticides, PCBs, PAHs, etc.) in food, drinks, and drinking water, taking into account their sources (environment, processing, packaging, transport, storage), - examine the impact of technological processing and culinary treatments on the level of chemical contaminants in final food products in terms of the possibility of reducing it; - testing for the presence of natural toxic substances, - research on the circulation of xenobiotics in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems (movement in the soil, plant, animal, water, sediment, organisms system), including monitoring the contamination of abiotic elements of the aquatic environment and hydrobionts with heavy metals, pesticides, PCBs, PAHs and other compounds, - Study of the dynamics of bioaccumulation, excretion, and detoxification of xenobiotics in aquatic organisms and the effects of poisoning of aquatic organisms

Jay Ingram is the Director, Chemicals at Humane Society International and has over 15 years experience in the toxicological risk assessment and regulatory compliance of chemicals and consumer products using both traditional and Next Generation Risk Assessment (NGRA) approaches. Jay is a toxicologist by training and started his career at Unilever where he was introduced to using non-animal methods of safety assessment. Whilst working for Delphic HSE Jay authored the forthcoming Global Regulatory Landscape module as part of the Animal Free Safety Assessment (AFSA) Collaboration’s Master Class. Recently Jay has made the transition from industry to NGO to contribute his knowledge and experience to the work of ultimately phasing-out animal testing for chemicals and consumer products.

Ilya B. Tsyrlov, MD, has completed his PhD in Biochemistry at the age of 27, and thereafter – a higher degree Doctor of Science in Molecular Pharmacology. He has been working as Head of the laboratory, Department Chair at Russian Academy of Science. In the United States, Tsyrlov served a Senior Research Fellow at NCI/NIH, and a Research Professor at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Since 2005, a President/CSO of the XENOTOX, Inc, USA. Incepted and developed the Xenovirology, an interdisciplinary biomedical field, and prioritized modifications of analgesics, synthetic opioids and antimalarials thus developing long-acting drug delivery formulations. He is the author of 6 monographs and 300+ peer reviewed publications, and has been serving as an editorial board member of repubted journals.

Mr. Chartrand is an environmental scientist and toxicologist located in Seattle, WA, USA. His key areas of technical expertise relate to toxicology (especially ecotoxicology) and risk assessment, focusing on ecological and human health risk assessment, water qualityissues, Clean Water Act (CWA) regulations, and contaminated sediments. He is a former water quality regulatory scientist for the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board in California, where he led a team that discovered and field-verified that large quantities of DDT as well as other wastes were ocean-dumped in deeper waters near southern California. He most recently published a Synthesis Report summarizing and reviewing what is known of these continuing marine ecological and toxicological effects of DDT. He completed his undergraduate work in biology at UC Berkeley, and graduate work in toxicology at UCLA. He was also Board-certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Toxicology (DABT).

Dr. Wei Wu serves as Deputy Dean of the School of International Education, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, Professor of the Department of Toxicology at Nanjing Medical University, China. He was a guest researcher at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) between 2017 and 2018. He is the PI of the State Key Laboratory of Reproductive Medicine andOffspring Health, and the Key Laboratory of Modern Toxicology of the Ministry of Education. He is a member of different national and international societies in the fields of human reproduction and toxicology, and has received awards from many national societies for the originality and quality of his projects. He has a wide range of teaching and consulting experience, including in toxicology. His research interests include the application of new media technology in teaching, epigenetic mechanisms of transgenerational effects of male infertility induced by endocrine disrupting chemicals, environmental exposure and male reproductive health, genetic and epigenetic risk factors of male infertility and abnormal fetal growth.

Dr. Tuğçe Uskur was born in Istanbul, Turkey, and completed her master's and doctoral degrees in Medical Pharmacology at the Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. She is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Pharmacology at Kırklareli University Faculty of Medicine. Dr. Uskur's research interests include pharmacology, psychopharmacology, toxicology, and pharmacotherapies in emergency medicine, with a particular focus on drug interactions and the clinical impacts of drug levels. She has contributed to national and international journals and has presented at various conferences and seminars. Dr. Uskur is actively engaged in research on common poisonings and treatment methods in emergency services, making significant contributions to these fields and participating in numerous scientific projects. Additionally, she is actively involved in the education of students, emphasizing the training of the next generation of health professionals.
